CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
OF
WHEELERSBURG FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH

 ARTTICLE I                          NAME
The name of this organization, a New Testament Church, shall be the Faith Baptist Church.

ARTTICLE II                         PURPOSE
The purpose of this church shall be to promote fellowship among God’s people of like precious faith; to put forth every possible effort to spread the Gospel, and to proclaim the whole counsel of God. The church shall not only be thoroughly evangelical, but it shall also be evangelistic. It shall be the responsibility of all members to carry out this stated purpose.

ARTTICLE III                        ARTICLES OF FAITH
1.       We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; that he is the very God by whom and for whom all things were created.

2.       We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ; and that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and is, therefore, God manifest in the flesh.

3.       We believe in Salvation by grace through faith in the Divine Sacrifice of Jesus Christ: that the Son of God gave “His life a ransom fo many” and bore “our sins in His own body on the tree.”

4.       We believe in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His bodily presence at the right hand of God as our Priest and Advocate.

5.       We believe in the Personality and the Deity of the Holy Spirit; the third person in the Trinity.

6.       We believe in the universal depravity of mankind; therein in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit of god through faith in Jesus Christ.

7.       We believe in the immersion fo the believer in water by authority of the Local New Testament Church as the only Biblical baptism and a prerequisite to Church membership.

8.       We believe in the ordinance of the Communion of the Lord’s Supper and that it is to be practiced only by those who are believers in Christ, and members of His Local New Testament Church.

9.       We believe that the Local New Testament church is a body of baptized believers, organized, independent, self-governing and voluntarily associated together for the service of God.

10.    We believe in the Great Commission given by our Lord, to His Church, to evangelize the world, and that this evangelism is the Great Commission of the Church.

11.    We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and that he will come first for His Church, then to judge and rule.

12.    We believe in the reality and personality of Satan.

13.    We believe in a literal Heaven of endless bliss for the saved, and in the conscious and end endless punishment of the unsaved in a literal Hell.

14.    We believe in the Scriptures(the Bible, King James Version) are the preserved, inerrant Word of God and accept them only as our authority in matters of faith and practice.

15.    We believe in the eternal security of the believer.

ARTTICLE IV                       CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
In order to be received into the membership of this Church requires:

1.       Professing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior, being scripturally baptized according to the doctrines of this Church, and a willingness to accept the Constitution and Bylaws of this Church.

2.       Members from other churches holding the same tenets of faith and baptistic doctrine may be received by letter or recommendation from their respective church or by equivalent statement of faith if no letter is available. They too shall be willing to accept the Constitution and Bylaws of this Church.

3.       Members who join other churches will be removed from this Church’s membership roll.
